Oscar Vicks
Chairperson
A well-known community advocate for the Eastside of San Antonio, TX (District 2) Mr. Vicks begins serving with the Juneteenth Parade board in the 1980s under the parade’s coordinator Rev. S Clifton Byrd. He along with the coalition has coordinated the Juneteenth parade for over 20 years.

Vera Williams-Young
Co-Chair
An established businesswoman, and a key coordinator for the Juneteenth Parade for over 20 years. Together with the coalition, she has worked hard at bringing people together to celebrate the freedom of descendants of African slaves in the United States.

Geraldine Hoover
Co-Chair ~ Emeritus
A graduate of Parrish Draughn Business College which led to a position with Ella Austin Community Center. After which Geraldine held a Management position with the Wyndham Hotel. Even with a level of career accomplishments, Geraldine felt a need to serve leading her to join the Juneteenth Freedom Coalition board as a key co-chairperson utilizing her skills in management along with her drive to impact the community on the importance of freedom for all and the on-going struggle to preserve it.
